About Databaas
Databaas is a European alternative to Databricks, Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric, built for organisations that need their data under EU jurisdiction rather than merely in an EU region.
It is a complete, pre-integrated data platform: an Apache Iceberg lakehouse on S3-compatible European object storage, Trino and DuckDB for SQL, Apache Airflow for orchestration, Lakekeeper for catalog and governance, Apache Superset for dashboards, JupyterHub and Marimo for notebooks, and Zitadel for single sign-on. Every component is open source and runs on European cloud infrastructure.
The architecture is deliberately reversible. Your tables live in your own bucket in open formats, your pipelines and notebooks live in your own Git repositories, and nothing is stored in a proprietary format. If you leave, you take everything with you.
